Wismilak is an Indonesian cigarette company which was established in Surabaya in 1962. In 2012, Wismilak successfully executed an Initial Public Offering of its shares which changed its status intoa Public Company and its name into PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk.
PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk is the parent company of PT Gelora Djaja (producer) and PT Gawih Jaya (distributor), which, at the end of 2018, has 5 Production Facilities, 4 Regional Logistic Centers, 19 Distribution Area, 2 Stock Points and 30 agents spread all across Indonesia.

Wismilak manages cigarette business, more specifically hand-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKT) and machine-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKM). The Company’s line of business includes the production of cigarette flavoring, filter rods and other cigarette parts; marketing and sales of cigarette products and parts; and investment in kretek cigarette manufacturers.
In conducting their business activities, Wismilak continues to comply with the laws and regulations, related to good manufacturing practices, health, safety, security, environment, corporate governance and others..
The main objective of the primary processing is separating tobacco leaves from the stem, separating foreign materials, and also chopping up the cloves and tobacco.
Secondary processing consists of (i) the rolling of the tobacco and (ii) the wrapping of the tobacco with cigarette paper. For the MC products, filter rods are added to the cigarettes after the wrapping. Lastly, the products are packed in various packaging.
The final process is the warehousing of finished goods, sent directly from the secondary processing area to the finished goods warehouses.
